Qualifying for the Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP®) Experienced Pathway means that you have a minimum of 7,000 hours and at least seven years of business experience in the CITP credential body of knowledge.

The CITP Experienced Pathway Exam is a streamlined assessment, containing a combination of case study-based multiple choice items and stand-alone multiple-choice items. The exam is 60 questions long and you will have 2-hours to complete the exam. The exam is available to be taken any time either online or at a testing center, whichever is most convenient for you. You will meet the examination requirement for the CITP Experienced Pathway once you pass this CITP Experienced Pathway Exam.

As of May 1st, 2024, we no longer offer retake as a purchase option. Instead, one retake is included with the purchase of the CITP Experienced Exam.

Exam registration fees are non-refundable and are not transferable to other AICPA-CIMA products or other individuals. If a candidate fails to schedule and attend the testing appointment, they will forfeit all exam fees paid.

CITP Experienced Pathway Exam Registration

Within two weeks of successfully registering for the CITP Experienced Pathway Exam, you will receive a Notice to Schedule email that includes vital information on how to schedule your exam session at a Kryterion testing center or online via remote proctoring. Email is the only means by which scheduling information is transmitted so please ensure that the AICPA has your most recent email address on record. Visit My Account to verify.
